Thanks for tagging me!! :)
1. If you had a time machine, to what time period would you travel to and why?
Um I’d probably want to go somewhere in the future, because I’ve already heard about the past. I’d want to see and learn about something new. Although I wouldn’t want to know what happens. Maybe I’d just go back in time and tell my younger self to take it easy, and not worry so much about what other people think.
2. If you could live anywhere else, where would you like to leave and why?
New York. I love New York. If not New York, then in Washington, or the northern west coast because I love the rain and the ocean.
3. Say you live in a world where everyone has super powers, what superpower do you choose?
If everyone has superpowers, then I’m going to be the baby and shield myself from everyone else’s superpowers. That will be my power.
4. What would you say to your future self or what would you ask?
I would probably ask what the hey should I do next, because I’m not entirely sure the direction my life is headed in. But knowing my future self (which technically I don’t) I wouldn’t answer my own question. So I’d probably just end up staring at my older self and thinking how weird I look with gray hair and wrinkles.
5. What are your talents?
Um…I can write sort of well. And sort of kind of act.
6. First book you ever read?
Oh I don’t know. I know the first book that I read continuously in one sitting by myself. And that book was Because Of Winn-Dixie by Kate DiCamillo. And its still one of my favorite books.
7. Do you have a pet, if you don’t, what would you like as a pet?
I don’t have a pet, but I really want a dog!
8. weirdest dream you’ve had?
My friend and I had won a contest and got to test a new kind of lemonade, but when we were trying it, the panel of lemonade testers were disrupted by a tiger that breathed fire, and all hell broke loose over the town and everyone was running away from the fire-breathing tiger, and I was saving a bunch people, but I wasn’t scared at all. I don’t know if thats the weirdest dream I’ve had, but it makes the list for sure.
9. Do you space -off often?
Yes. way too often.
10. Favorite movie?
I love movies. I have a lot of favorites. I’ll just list a few. The Breakfast Club, Lion King, Frozen, Lilo and Stitch, Pirates of the Caribbean, and many more.
11. Why did you join tumblr?
Out of boredom.
I just wanted to say one thing about the Paper Towns movie. I don’t want it. Not because I don’t think it will be a great movie, but because this is one of my favorite books, and a lot of the symbolism won’t, and can’t, translate to screen. Does it bother anyone else that Margo Roth Spiegelman will come to life on screen? she thought of herself as a paper girl, the fact that she was literally a paper girl (written out on paper) gave more meaning to her thoughts if that makes any sense. One thing that I took away from the book was that paper can be meaningful and deep and complex. This story comes to life on paper, and the characters, and everything they’re going through become real to some extent. Paper can be powerful. The movie takes that away. Margo and Q no longer exist only on paper. Honestly, usually I’m really excited when a book I’ve read is being made into a movie, even though I know the book is always better, its exciting to see how other people have interpreted the book and how my imagination compares to the director’s, or in some cases, even the author’s. But Paper Towns is a special book to me, and I want to preserve my image of it. And I guess that is all.
